"Some people arrive and make such a beautiful impact on your life, you can barely remember what life was like without them.” – Anna Taylor Dear Bethany Friends,
The impact that you have on the residents of Bethany can be seen and felt all around us! I am so delighted to share with you an update on the current progress of our new Community Center, which you helped make possible with your generous donation.
Due to the pandemic, our contractor has had to pause construction multiple times throughout the project. Despite this hurdle, tremendous progress has been made toward our goal of creating a series of spaces where residents can interact with each other, staff, and visitors.
The new Conference Room is almost complete! The last piece is the installation of the lighting package which is expected to occur later this month.
The large table will be great for Resident Care Planning with family members as well as Staff and Board of Directors meetings! A new Charting Room created much-needed quiet space where Nursing staff can document resident charts and update records. "Before" photo of the future Bethany Store, Café and Library & Technology Center. The walls have been built for the future Bethany Store & Café space, and wiring and insulation are in place. The ceiling is currently being replaced. The Library & Technology Center walls are constructed and the wiring has been installed. A new large window, which will wash the space with natural light and provide a view of the meditation patio, has been ordered. From increased access to books to connecting with loved ones on Facebook, online gaming and classes that stimulate the mind, and an opportunity to shop independently, the new Community Center will enhance the quality of life for the residents who call Bethany home. The brand new comfortable, accessible meeting room will offer a private location for care plan meetings where physicians, nurses, residents, family members, and staff can collaborate. Thank You to Our Foundation Partners We are tremendously grateful to the following foundations whose generous financial support to Bethany made the Community Center renovation project possible. The Stephen & Mary Birch Foundation, Inc. The Flatley Foundation Thank you for caring so much about Bethany's residents and staff. We can't do this without you!
