"We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” – Winston S. Churchill Dear Bethany Friends,
Your generosity is indeed having a profound impact here at Bethany Health Care Center! Despite the pandemic slowing the timeline, the new Conference Room, Bethany Store, and Library & Computer area are really taking shape. I am so delighted to share with you the latest photos of the work you helped make possible.
We anticipate opening the area to residents by May, and look forward with eager anticipation to the day we will be able to invite you in for a tour of the beautiful new Community Center. We couldn't have done this without you!
The Conference Room is near completion! New ceiling lighting, automatic shades, an audio-visual system, carpeting, cabinetry, a refrigerator, and Corian countertops have all been installed. Final touches to the lighting package are in process, and we anticipate opening the new Conference Room in March.
Sheetrock and insulation were installed in the new Library & Computer Area. New ceiling lighting and electric, as well as a large window overlooking the beautiful meditation area have all been installed as well. Custom shelves are currently being constructed to house the many books for residents to enjoy. The Bethany Store & Café space is being outfitted with built in cabinets and Corian countertops. Another view shows off the great new storage that will be available to our residents and volunteers who staff the Bethany Store & Café. No longer will they need to set up and break down card tables of products each day! In the coming weeks, new flooring will be installed and a custom wall mural wrap will be affixed to the walls throughout the Bethany Store and the open space in the new Community Center. Pending further COVID-19 restrictions, we anticipate opening the Bethany Store and Library & Computer Area by May, 2021. Thank You to Our Foundation Partners We are tremendously grateful to the following foundations whose generous financial support to Bethany made the Community Center renovation project possible. The Stephen & Mary Birch Foundation, Inc. The Flatley Foundation Thank you for caring so much about Bethany's residents and staff. We can't do this without you!
