Dear Bethany Friends,

The impact that you have on the residents of Bethany can be seen and felt all around us! I am so delighted to share with you an update on the first project which you helped make possible through your generous donation to Bethany's Got Talent.

Because of you, Bethany was able to install new high-efficiency Laundry Room equipment this month.

According to Luis Arce, Director of Laundry & Housekeeping Services, "The biggest benefit we have seen already is the decrease in the amount of time it takes to complete a load of laundry. Now we are able to deliver full carts of clean linens to the floors at the end of each shift, and CNAs do not have to come to the laundry room to re-stock linens. This gives them more time to spend directly caring for the residents."

An additional benefit is the quality in the linens after each wash and dry. The linens come out much whiter and brighter. Not having to treat and re-wash linens will save an estimated 2,080 lbs. and 104 loads of laundry per year!

Luis also reports that staff members are extremely happy with the new laundry equipment! "The machines are very simple to operate, and staff no longer feel as though they are rushing to get the work done. The team's satisfaction, productivity and efficiency have all improved!"
